FAQ'S

WE HAVE ANSWERS

What is the length of your assignments?
It depends entirely on your needs. While typical assignments are 13 weeks, they can be short as four weeks or as long as 52 weeks. Tell us what you need and we'll customize an assignment to your specific requirements.

Is it possible for a facility request a traveler to stay longer than their initial assignment?
Yes. In fact, many of our travelers get extended for longer than their initial assignment. You can extend your assignment for any duration that suits you.

How quickly can you find a traveler for our facility?
We have placed travelers within a day of their interview and as early as five months before the start date.

Who is responsible for providing accommodations for the traveler?
With our standard service agreement, Elite Medical Group Staffing’s housing department will find suitable accommodations for the healthcare professionals you employ through EMGS. We have contracts with housing communities in all 50 states. Occasionally, a hospital client will prefer to arrange their own housing.

Can we schedule travelers to work with our regular staff for the entire length of their assignment?
YES!. This is one of the greatest benefits of using our healthcare professionals. They become a part of your regular staff and work a full-time schedule.

What does EMG Staffing consider to be a full-time schedule?
For travelers who work 8- or 10- hour shifts, 40 hours per week is considered full-time. Travelers who work 12-hour shifts are considered on a full schedule at 36 hours per week.

Who will be responsible for workers' compensation insurance?
EMG Staffing will be responsible for workers' compensation insurance and all employer-related taxes and insurance when the travelers are on our payroll. If travelers are on the client facility's payroll, the client is then considered the employer and responsible for taxes and insurance.

How much will traveler services cost?
Rates vary depending on which contract option you choose, what type of health professional you are seeking, and the city or region where you are located. Our VP of Client Relations can quote you an exact rate for health professionals at your facility.

Who should I contact if I have a question about your services?
A Regional Director will be able to answer any questions you have. Or, you can call our toll-free number at (888) 364-7999 and be directed to the appropriate person.

What is the first step I need to take if I want to book a traveler?
The first step is to present your needs to a Regional Director or Business Development Representative.  They will review our practices and pricing with you. Once you are satisfied with the terms, a service agreement will be forwarded to you. You will review the service agreement and make any revisions as needed.

Who will I talk to about booking a traveler?
Once your service agreement has been signed, you will be assigned a Account Manager who will manage all of your open positions. Your Account Manager will work with you to develop solutions by providing you résumés of travelers who have the skills and credentials you need, and have expressed an interest in open positions at your facility.

How many applications will I receive?
That's entirely up to you. Talk to your Account Manager and let him or her know how many applications you would like to have forwarded to you for each open position.

How will I receive the applications?
Typically we send applications directly to your email address Or, if you prefer, you can request that the files be sent via fax.

Once I receive a traveler's profile, how soon should I schedule an interview?
The sooner the better. We advise our client facilities to schedule an interview within 24 hours. If you wait too long, the traveler may have already accepted another assignment by the time you schedule an interview with him/her
